£850
What is included?
Three personalised home visits
to help you feel calm, informed and ready to meet your baby.
Preparing for birth can feel overwhelming, with so much information out there and so many decisions to make. This package brings expert, midwife-led support into the comfort of your own home during your third trimester.
Visits begin from 28 weeks, so you can prepare at your own pace, ask every question, and feel confident about the journey ahead and is designed to complement your NHS or private maternity care (not replace it) to give you extra time, continuity and personalised guidance alongside your usual antenatal appointments.
The package includes three home visits of around two hours each. Partners are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join as birth preparation works best when you're both involved, and your partner will also come away feeling confident in how to support you.
Over the three visits, we'll work through everything together:
Visit 1 --> Hypnobirthing
Birth is one of the most powerful experiences of your life, and how you feel going into it matters. Hypnobirthing gives you practical, evidence-informed tools to work with your body rather than against it, helping you replace fear and uncertainty with calm and confidence.
Together, we'll practise breathing techniques for each stage of labour, deep relaxation, visualisation and positive affirmations, so they feel natural by the time you need them. You'll understand what's happening in your body during labour and why feeling safe and relaxed can help it unfold more smoothly and your birth partner will learn exactly how to support you, from creating a calm environment to using comfort techniques, and how to advocate for you when it matters most.
Hypnobirthing isn't only for one kind of birth. Whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, a water birth, an induction or a caesarean, and whether things go to plan or take an unexpected turn, these tools will help you stay grounded, make decisions with a clear head and look back on your birth feeling positive and in control.
Visit 2 --> Your birth preferences
NHS and private maternity services are working incredibly hard, but they are under real pressure and birth planning discussions within routine antenatal care may be as short as 20 minutes, which often isn't enough time to understand your options, talk through your worries or feel truly prepared.
Many parents report that they go into birth with unanswered questions that they didn't have the chance to ask or discuss in their pregnancy.
This visit gives you the time and space that busy services often can't.
We'll go through your options in detail, including where to give birth, pain relief, induction, monitoring, assisted birth, caesarean birth, and what happens in the moments after your baby arrives, so you understand the benefits and risks of each option, and can choose what feels right for you. If you have a previous birth experience, specific worries or a particular situation in this pregnancy, we'll take the time to talk it through properly.
Together, we'll create clear, personalised birth preferences that you can share with your care team. Just as importantly, you'll learn how to ask the right questions and make informed decisions in the moment, so that if plans need to change, you still feel listened to, respected and part of every decision. Families who feel informed and involved are more likely to look back on their birth positively, whatever path it takes.
Visit 3 --> Preparing to feed your baby (at 36–37 weeks)
Feeding is one of the first things you'll do together, and good preparation makes a real difference. This visit takes place at 36–37 weeks, in line with NICE guidance on when to begin antenatal hand expressing and we'll cover everything you need to know to get off to the best start, whether you plan to breastfeed, bottle feed or combine the two.
This visit can also include how to hand express and store colostrum, with practical and hands-on practice if desired, a chat about what early feeding looks like in the first days, and a clear path to help understand the signs that feeding is going well.
Support between visits
But perhaps one of the most important part of this package is the fact that you won't be on your own between appointments. You'll have WhatsApp access to your visiting Midwife throughout the package, so you can get in touch with questions, worries or anything that comes up as your pregnancy progresses.
Messages are usually answered Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm and usually within one working day and is for non-urgent questions only.
If you have any concerns about your health or your baby's wellbeing, such as reduced movements, bleeding, severe pain or signs of labour, please contact your maternity unit or labour ward straight away, and in an emergency, please call 999.
With this investment into your pregnancy, you'll come away feeling informed, supported and ready for your birth and the early days with your new baby.
