This comprehensive course covers everything from learning the signs of labour, discussing all types of birth, sensitively exploring the potential complications that can arise and basic infant first aid; Ensuring that you are fully prepared for the arrival of your little one and confident in the first few weeks of parenting. With our expert guidance and valuable individualised information, this course will empower you with the knowledge and confidence you need to navigate this new chapter in your life. TOPICS COVERED week 1- birth place options and stages of labour week 2 - pain relief options and hypnobirthing techniques week 3 - assisted births, perineal trauma and caesarean sections week 4 - decision making & birthing rights, physical recovery and mental wellbeing week 5 - infant feeding (breast/bottle/expressing), tongue tie and gentle baby massage week 6 - newborn care and basic infant first aid Our classes are available to expectant parents living in Beckenham and the surrounding areas, and once you have booked your place, you will receive a follow up email confirming your booking and with all the information you will need for the course. There is plenty of parking on the road and in the carpark next to St John's Church and it is also an 10 min walk away from nearby bus stops and Eden Park train station (supplying a direct link to London Bridge, Waterloo East and London Charing Cross stations).
